Evaluation time

The time required by Mammalia aequatorialis to evaluate a scientific article and provide a response is about four months from the date of receipt (although this process can take two months minimum and six months maximum).

The time allotted to reviewers will be 30 days. If the manuscript needs corrections, the main or corresponding author will have 30 days to resubmit the corrected version. If an article is not attended by the corresponding author within 60 days, it will be considered abandoned and will be rejected.

At the discretion of the editor in charge, a corrected manuscript may initiate a new peer review process (which may be the same reviewers of the first review or different ones). This new evaluation will require the same time allotted in the first review.

The evaluation time for the other sections (scientific notes, book reviews, thesis abstracts, state of the art and opinion articles) will be faster. A final response is expected within one to two months after receipt of a text.
